A PLACE FOR SPIRITUALLY COMMITTED YOUNG ADULTS
MercyWorks is a community consisting of younger adults in their twenties, thirties and forties, both single and married. Our group is rooted in Catholic tradition but is open to seekers of all faiths who desire to deepen their spiritual life and to reach out to others in prayer and service.
MercyWorks participants take advantage of the opportunities of our retreat center, including the peaceful, prayerful environment and the rich and varied programs. On the first Friday of each month, MercyWorks young adults are invited to attend a social gathering at 5:00 pm, followed by the 8:00 pm Taizé prayer. The social provides fellowship, nourishment and convenience to participants.
Current opportunities for service, social action and programs of interest at the Center are discussed. The comfortable atmosphere provides a good environment for networking and support with peers of similar values and interests.
Once a month, MercyWorks is invited to a Sunday Mass specially designed for our group. The liturgy, utilizing the readings of the day, will focus on the Scripture’s relevance to contemporary life.
