SPRING SILENT MEDITATION

An East-West Meditation Intensive
with Fr. Greg Mayers, C.Ss.R

 

April 14-19, 2019
Sunday 6:00 pm (dinner) to
Friday 12:00 noon (lunch)

$575 Overnight / $475 Commuter

 

Gather for six days of silence, mindfulness, self-discovery and community.

 

Retreat includes spiritual talks and private interviews with the teacher.

 

Beginners and experienced meditators are welcome!

RETREAT LEADER

Fr. Gregory Mayers, C.Ss.R, a Redemptorist priest, directs the East-West Meditation Program at Mercy Center and is the resident teacher. Fr. Greg began Zen koan studies in the late 1970s, and is an Associate Roshi of the Sanbô-Zen Society, Kamakura, Japan.

In 2010, Fr. Greg received full transmission as an Authentic Zen Master with the honorific title of Roshi from his teacher, Willigis Jaeger, founder of the Empty Cloud Zen Lineage in Germany.

Fr. Greg has taught both Zen and Christian Mystical prayer in retreats around the United States. He is the award-winning author of Listen to the Desert: The Secrets of Spiritual Maturity in the Desert Fathers and Mothers.

ROOM AND MEALS

Overnight registration includes:

  •  Single bedrooms; dormitory-style bathrooms; kitchenette on each floor
  •  Locally-sourced fresh produce, soups, salad, vegetarian and meat entrees
  •  Guests are welcome to bring foods to supplement our meal service
  •  We cannot provide all-vegan or special dietary menus
