RETREAT LEADER

Paula Huston is the author of five books and a co-editor and contributing essayist for a sixth, Signatures of Grace: Catholic Writers on the Sacraments. Her essays and short stories have appeared in numerous literary journals and magazines over the years. She is a National Endowment of the Arts Fellow in Creative Writing, and currently teaches creative nonfiction in Seattle Pacific University’s low-residency Master of Fine Arts program and fiction writing for the GlenOnline. Her work has been honored several times by Best American Short Stories, and has been anthologized in various collections, including Best Spiritual Writing of 2010. She has taught at the Glen Workshop at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is a frequent retreat leader and speaker at churches and campuses around the country. A Camaldolese Benedictine oblate, she lives with her husband, daughter, son-in-law and two small grandchildren on four acres on the Central Coast of California.
