We live in times of immense change and uncertainty. How can we find solid ground, and learn to sift the authentic from the illusory? How can we live true to the Christian vision amid all this flux? How can we learn to make wiser choices and apply the tools of discernment to our daily lives? How can we begin to let go of the baggage that is impeding our journey, and learn to travel more lightly, following the One who is the Way?

Margaret Silf is a spiritual writer and retreat leader. Margaret has a B.A. from the University of London, England, and an M.A. in English from the University of Keele, England. She has studied with the Jesuits on the subjects of prayer and making the Spiritual Exercises in daily life. Her columns appear regularly in America magazine.

She has written many books on the spiritual journey for 21st century pilgrims, including Inner Compass, Close to the Heart, Wayfaring, Sacred Spaces, and the CPA award-winning The Gift of Prayer. Her latest titles are Wise Choices (Bluebridge) and Roots and Wings: The Human Journey from a Speck of Stardust to a Spark of God (Eerdmanns).
